BIOGRAPHIE

Her work, imbued with a profound reflection on body image and contemporary society, is an ode to diversity and self-acceptance. Léonie Stolberg defies the stigma of censorship and hatred, positioning herself as a role model for those seeking to explore the theme of the body and sexuality through art.

Committed and resolute, Léonie has embraced audacious projects, becoming the voice of a generation aspiring to greater tolerance and authenticity. Her profound desire to celebrate the uniqueness of every body is reflected in her artistic quest, depicting beauty in diversity and authenticity.

Through her commitment, Léonie Stolberg embodies a resilient and poignant artistic vision, inviting everyone to embrace the richness of their own being with gratitude and respect. She reminds us that behind every body lies a unique and precious story, far beyond the filters and judgments of our hyper-connected world.

In the teeming world of contemporary art emerges an artist whose work transcends the boundaries of photography and engagement. Léonie Stolberg, a young artist/writer/photographer, reveals herself as a bold, censorious voice that challenges standards of beauty and perceptions of the body in our hyper-connected age.

A native of the Paris suburbs, Léonie embraced a multi-faceted passion for art from an early age, exploring music, drawing, dance, photography and writing. She channeled this creative energy through winning competitions and early experiences in the image world, forging a precocious and singular artistic identity.

Yet her artistic path was not without its pitfalls. Socially isolated, she was confronted with malice and censorship from her early teens. Despite these challenges, she found refuge and expression at the Institut Saint Luc in Tournai, where her talent was quickly recognized, albeit in the face of persistent censorship from the school.

Over the years, Léonie has turned difficulties into sources of inspiration. Her career, punctuated by awards and notable collaborations, reflects an unshakeable determination to capture the diversity of bodies and deconstruct the idealized beauty standards imposed by social networks.

It's hard to find photos of her work, as they're all automatically deleted from well-known platforms such as Instagram , Facebook and even Twitter, and many refuse her exhibitions for "fear of having their windows smashed". Even when she seems to obey the rules, it doesn't seem to be enough. RTBF even carried out a small investigation, but to no avail.

For her, "Nudity is the garment of subjectivity: it bears witness to each person's history, and it doesn't lie."

Today Léonie has to her credit more than 10 Instagram accounts and several censored/deleted Facebook accounts.
